First Ever OOTD!

Hello and happy Tuesday!  Sorry I’ve been MIA the past two days, but I have been hard at work adding labels to allll of my blog posts.  (Yes, every.blog.post.from.the.day.I.started.this.blog.  Eeesh, it was a long process.)  Hopefully the labels will help my blog’s organization, both for my sake and yall’s sake.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to link to an older post and then had NO earthly idea where to actually find the post.  So hopefully this will help.

Anyway…after several suggestions and requests from readers, I am finally doing my first outfit of the day post.  WAIT!  Before you furiously scroll down to see if I have OOTD street cred, let me say that I am very hesitant about adding an OOTD feature on my little blog.  Something about doing OOTD posts, seems a little like I’m tooting my own horn.  Now, there is nothing wrong with tooting your own style horn, but part of me thinks I should leave that style horn tooting to lovelies like Amber, Anh, Amy, and Andi.  (Hmm, perhaps having a name that starts with an “A” gives one instant OOTD street cred.)  I love their posts because they are stylish and fab (I like to abbreviate fabulous, aka fab.  Must learn quickly to understand my speech.)  Not saying I’m not fab, but I don’t know how fab my style is, and I certainly don’t know how fab YOU all will think my style is.  But because several of you have asked, and because I’m feeling optimistic this Tuesday, I’m going to give it a try.  I’m giving myself a few OOTD posts, and if people tell me they could care less what I wear, I’ll end this little experiment.  My day to day wear is fairly flexible, sometimes I can do jeans, sometimes I have to be a pencil skirt.  It just depends on what I have going on that day with work, school, class, etc.  So, now that I’ve officially rambled (no surprise!) here is my FIRST EVER outfit of the day post!  Hope you like it :)

DSCN2223 Sorry about the shadows (and the fact that my wedges are sinking into the grass.)  Beginner’s error :)

Early Birthday Celebration and Easter Weekend Recap

Why is coming back after a three day weekend so hard?  You’d think it would be easier, especially after such a lovely weekend, but no no, when my alarm went off the morning I groaned and cursed all sorts of crazy.  But if it weren’t for Mondays, we couldn’t look forward to Fridays, so I’ll deal.  Speaking of Fridays, this past Friday was a lovely start to my long weekend and birthday celebration with my family.  My mom, brother, and I had quite a bit of shopping success in Houston.  I took advantage of Ann Taylor’s 40% off sale, and I must say, I am loving their recent revamp.  I am obsessed with tissue cardigans and long flowy tanks, and right now, Ann Taylor is doing both really well.  I snagged two great cardigans, this pretty petal top, and a black top that I won’t attempt to describe (and can’t find on their website), but can totally envision myself rocking in our new city with skinny jeans and black boots.  Then, we moved onto to Anthro so I could use my birthday discount, and I showed quite a bit of self restraint, leaving with only three items.  One of which was my birthday dress, which I’ll wear when I celebrate with my friends in two weekends.  I love it so much that I have to share a sneak peek :)

The picture simply doesn’t do it justice, so if you want a closer look at the Castle Lake Dress, click here.  I love the rope detailing along the neckline.  Perfect for my upcoming birthday plans!  I also picked up this hat with the money my brother gave me for my birthday.  I have been looking for a hat like this for over a year, but I can’t ever find one that looks quite right.  But this one did the trick for me, though my brother and Matt told me I looked like Jason Mraz lol.  I can’t wait to wear it to summer concerts in Millennium Park!

DSCN2065-1

Saturday my mom and I treasure hunted all morning, discovering some great (and some not-so-great) garage sales, as well as hitting up our favorite thrift stores.  We both found some great treasures, but rather than show them each individually, I think I’ll wait do a “spot the treasures” post when they’re out and arranged in our home.  That night, to celebrate my birthday, we were supposed to go out for a fun bday dinner, but unfortunately my little brother got really sick, so we stayed home.  My parents offered to take Matt and I anyway, but it wouldn’t be the same without my brother, so we stayed in, and my mom cooked fettuccini, my favorite meal of hers.

But we since we weren’t going out to eat, and we had some time before dinner, Matt and I decided to go look at new cars  (look not buy!)  We have been talking about trading in Matt’s Aviator because it gets about an inch to the gallon and only takes premium gas, and with Matt having a 45 minute commute in Chicago, its just not doable.  (I wish I could say we’re thinking about the polar bears, but we’re not; we’re thinking about our wallets.)  But, we just went to look.

DSCN2028

Annnnd we walked away with this.  Hahahaha, crazy, I know.  But we had a bottom line and they met it, so we went for it.  We were pretty sad, however, to get rid of Matt’s car.  It reminded me of a time when I was little and my parents got rid of their minivan.  My brother and I hated this van.  It was eons old, had no AC, was falling apart, and put out black smoke with any pressing of the gas or brake.  My little brother used to beg my dad to drop him off at the corner rather than in the drop off line at school because all the safety patrol kids covered their nose to avoid the smelly black smoke.  Hahaha, it was awful (but rather awesome now thinking about it.)  When they came to tow the car away (it was way past its trade in day) we all stood on the front porch watching it drive be towed away.  I have such a vivid memory of my brother and I cheering on the front porch while my parents cried.  They talked about all the memories, the trips, and the love in the car, and though I didn’t get it at the time, after Saturday, I totally understand.

DSCN2023

Sad day.  I literally cried three times during the car buying process.  It wasn’t about getting rid of the car itself, but about the memories we had with that car and all the fun life events Matt and I have experienced in and with the car.  Sorry Mom and Dad for making fun of you and the black van.  I get it now.  However, Matt and I got over our sadness and celebrated in our first big purchase together as a married couple.  Of course, I got emotional and cried over that too :)

DSCN2035

That night we opened presents, and my parents thoughtfully gifted me with a fabulous spa day at Bella Nova spa in Houston.  I absolutely cannot wait for a day of pampering!  Thanks Mom and Dad :)  As you can tell from the picture, we also popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate Matt and I’s new purchase.  Lots of celebrating all around!

DSCN2054

Easter Sunday was delightful, and we started the morning off with an awesome message at church.  It was about the baggage we have in our lives, and it really spoke to me and energized me to make some important changes in my life.  They also brought in an amazing singer/songwriter, Sarah Reeves, who made for awesome praise and worship.  Loved her, loved the service, and love God’s incredible love for us.  After church, we came back to admire the lovelies left by the Easter Bunny and enjoy a highly competitive Easter egg hunt.  Though my brother and I are 18 and 25, my parents still indulge us in an egg hunt.  This was Matt’s first year to join in, and no surprise, Ryan and I kicked his butt :)

DSCN2055

All in all, it was a delightful weekend!  Nothing makes me happier than hanging out with my family, and I am sad that we will be so far apart come May 25 (our official move day.)  Thanks to my sweet family for being so wonderful, I would be nothing without you.

So what about you, how was your weekend, what did you do?  I’d love to hear!

Anthro’s Stylishly Cool Sister

tumblr_ks2za8KCq71qzaab4o1_400_large {we heart it}

Last week, I posted about some of the yummy stuff on sale at Anthropologie and since several of you commented on that post, I thought I would follow up this week with a sale from their sister store, Urban Outfitters.  Lots of people don’t know that these stores are siblings (along with Free People), but indeed, they are under the same umbrella company.  The only reason I know this is because one summer when I was home from college, I had the “brilliant” idea to work at one of the Anthro stores in Dallas.  I say “brilliant” because I took the job to make some extra money on top of my summer lifeguarding job, and each week, I spent triple what I made working there.  (Did I mention you get a 40% discount at Anthro, Urban, and Free People when you work for just one of them?)  Haha, awesome planning, Allison…you got a job to make money and then you spent all of it and more.  Nonetheless, it was such a fun opportunity, and because the store was brand new, I got to experience the grand opening of an Anthro, and I got to be a part of all the incredible detail work that goes into their store windows and displays.  (Yes, it was as inspiring and fabulous as you might imagine.)  Did you know that each Anthro store has their own creative director in charge of creating their magical look?  No pre-packaged displays, no boxed sets; it’s all unique.  (So unique, that I got paid for three days straight to make “raindrops” out of hot glue and wax paper.  I thought the woman had lost her mind, but of course, it looked insanely fabulous when she was done.)

Anyway, I’m getting off track as usual…back to Urban Outfitters.  Before I launch into all the goodies I found on sale there, I need to share my number one Urban shopping tip with you.  Have an editing eye.  (Do I sound like Tim Gunn?  If I do, awesome, because he is fab.)  But back to my edit point…I do not love everything that Urban carries.  Yes, you read that right; I said do NOT love.  Half of the stuff in that store I simply don’t care for.  It doesn’t look as well made as I’d like it to be, and the fit can be a little wonky (I’ve never actually used that word before, but find it entirely appropriate at this moment.)  When browsing their website, I don’t particularly love their models, and I’m not a big fan of their styling.  However, with all that being said, I think Urban Outfitters carries some really cool and unique pieces.  Pieces that if I pair them with some of the things I already have and love, will totally shine and fit my style (which isn’t quite as funky/grunge as Urban’s style.)  They have a way of making casual look incredibly cool so that if I pair one of their top’s with a black pencil skirt I look cool at the office, and if I pair one of their dresses with an oversized cardigan, I look cool out to dinner with Matt.  So if you don’t typically give Urban Outfitters a glance but you love their sister store, Anthropolgie, give it a second look, you might be surprised what you find.  Here are some of the goodies I recently sound in their sale section…

 17431206_011_b

Kimchi Blue Beaded Cardigan Sweater.  How sweet and funky is this sweater?  Sweet and funky is a hard combo to pull off, but I think this sweater does it fabulously.  I think I’d pair it with a pencil skirt and heels and rock it at the office.  What would you pair it with?

17413253_001_b Silence and Noise Sequin Tee.  Bling is always in and I love the slightly oversized yet super chic top.  I’d rock it with a simple skinny jean, black boots, and a rockin cocktail ring or two or three.  (You know how much I heart big rings.)  An added bonus?  It’s under $20!  Total steal.

17468125_004_b Silence and Noise French Terry Metallic Stitch Pullover.  Ok, I know this sweater doesn’t look like anything special (especially with this model’s awkward slouch), but I think it would look great with jeans, heels, and some layered gold jewelry for a cozy yet relaxed date or girls night out.  (And yes, I wear heels for “cozy and relaxed” dates.  Silly to many, but not to me.)  I can see a few of my friends turning up their nose at this top, but I think with the right stuff, this could be a cozy-cool get up.

17310780_41_b Truly Madly Deeply Solid Deep V Tee.  Again, I know what you might be thinking.  “Why is this weird girl posting a plain t-shirt on her list of fabulous finds?!”  There is a reason I promise.  Remember last year when I talked about the burial of all my sorority t-shirts (if you missed that post, read it here.  It was a lifechanging and somewhat depressing decision.)  Well since then, I’ve had trouble on lazy Sundays and errand running days because I don’t have any t-shirts to wear.  Look no further because Urban always has GREAT t-shirts.  Perfectly thin and worn in with a deep V, in a variety of colors.  It doesn’t get much better than that when it comes to t-shirts.  (I actually like this shirt better than the original Gap shirt I posted.)  I also like that the sleeves are longer on this shirt because I hate shirts that remind me of the days “baby tees” were in.  Oh Lord, how I’d love to forgot those days.

17526179_023_d Deux Lux Solid Tote.  Urban has some of the best, sorta slouchy/sorta structured bags out there.  And most of them are pretty affordable, especially if you can snag them on sale.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag and think it perfect for anyone who has a soft spot for bags and purses.  Ugh, love it.

17580804_020_b We Who See Essential Riding Boot.  I’ve been ranting way too much lately about the skinny jean/boot combo, but I can’t help it.  We don’t exactly have weather here in Texas that supports the skinny jean/boot combo very often, but after our Chicago trip, I was back in love and ready to build my collection.  (Those three words, “build my collection,” often get me in trouble.  Must proceed with caution and self-control.)  But seriously, these riding boots are fab and though they’re not a total steal, they’re still a pretty good deal in my book.

17526039_070_b Wishbone Studs.  If you are not sold on anything else at Urban Outfitters, please consider their insanely unique accessories.  So much of their stuff has a whimsical and hip vibe, and I always feel like it adds just an extra layer of cool when I wear it.  Even if I’m in one of my all black off ensembles for work (a la People’s Revolution, not a la funeral wear) their jewelry always make me feel a tad more unique and special.  And these little lovelies certainly meet that bill.  SO FREAKING CUTE.  Seriously, I am adding these to my cart as we speak.  I also love them because they make a statement without being big, bold or oversized.  They’re subtle yet fabulous, which is a combination I simply adore.

Ok, so what do you think?  I know Urban Outfitters isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but with an editing eye, an ability to look past their sometimes weird styling, and a little imagination, I think anyone can incorporate their stuff into their wardrobe for a stylishly cool pick me up.  So tell me what you think; I’d love to hear!

Winter Wardrobe Gone Blah

Note to self: when you are trying to buckle down on your finances and cut back on “extras,” looking at Anthropologie’s newest sale items is NOT a good idea.  Especially when I am trying hard to stick to my new year’s non-resolution of “using what I have.”  (Read that original post here.)  I’m always a sucker for Anthropologie, but something about this time of year makes it even more lust worthy.  Winter is still around, but with spring just around the corner, lighter knits, delicate necklines, and sweet pea details seem to make winter wear more inviting.  See what I’m loving right now, and if you’re like me and in need of a vacay from your winter wardrobe, browse for yourself and let me know what you find!

910273_012_bDouble Twist Sweater.  You already how i feel about winter white (loooove it) and the detailing of the knit adds an extra sense of luxury.  Plus the twist in the front is so different from anything else in my closet.  Oh, and the short sleeves?  Perfect for Texas “winter.”

913363_004_b Puckered & Pleated Cardigan.  I have had my eye on this sweater FOR-EV-ER (Sandlot anyone?)  I think it is divine and after my Chicago trip/reinspiration of the skinny jean and boot look, this would be a perfect mate for the combo.  Sizes are limited online, so I’d have to call the store for my size, but this little lovely is totally worth it.  PS: this sweater was originally $128, and it is now marked down to $29.  Steal!

913831_041_b Palesa Blouse.  Love the contrast of the casual fit and the embellished neckline.  This is perfect for dinner and drinks with friends, and the fit is especially forgiving should you desire that extra margarita or chips and queso.  Is is sad that I thought about that?  (Perhaps that explains my unintentional jeggings problem.  Sheesh.)

910953_011_b Bias Ruffles Racerback.  I wear cardigans all the time and am always looking for great layering pieces to pair with my ridiculous collection of these sweet sweaters.  This top is perfect for layering and has the feminine detailing that I swoon over. It also comes in black and blue, and the blue would be super cute for spring.  Ugh, decisions, decisions.

923317_049_b Whizbang Mini.  I freaking love this skirt!  I can already picture it with black tights, a black top/sweater of some sort, and a fabulously oversized black scarf.  Boots or heels would work.  Love it.  Want it.

944482_001_b Coin of the Realm Necklace.  My love for Anthro’s statement necklaces isn’t a secret, and I toyed with buying this at full price, but thankfully I waited.  I already have this one though, are they too much of the same thing?  (I’m thinking since one is white and one is black they are completely different.  Completely different, right?!)

943490_001_b

Straight Story Boots.  Maybe I’m taking my boot love to the extreme (especially since we live in Texas) but I feel like the cold cities have all the fashion fun when it comes to boots.  I’m tired of being left out, and ff we end up coming to Chicago, I am DEFINITELY getting these sweeties.

So what about you?  Did you see anything you liked?  What do you do to your wardrobe to carry you from January to April?

Trendsetter Me

Remember a few posts ago when I told you about that white floral statement necklace from Anthropologie that I got and loved loved loved (and could not for the life of me could not find on their website.)  Well apparently I'm not the only one who thinks it's fabulous, it was just featured on InStyle's 2009 Holiday Gift Guide.  One of my dear students spotted it and messaged me to let me know of my fashion forwardness.  I realize this is in no way an earthshattering experience, but I was kind of delighted to discover that I found something before the fashion mags, rather than running to the store after I read about it in their pages.  One teeny tiny little fashion point for me!

Party Pretty

Holiday parties are among us, and that means we all have an excuse to shop!  Woohoo!  (Who am I kidding, I don't need an excuse to shop?)  I'm not a fan of stuffy, obligatory holiday parties, but I heart heart heart fun Christmas parties, with good friends, good food, and lots of laughter.  My criteria for a good party ensemble is something that makes you look and feel special.  It doesn't have to new or expensive, but I think that it should make you feel a little more sparkley, a little more merry, and a little more special.  I'm a firm believer that you shouldn't save the "good stuff" for special occasions, because let's face it, life is a special occasion!  I adopted this motto with my everyday wardrobe a year or two ago, and have seen dramatic results in how I look and feel on those plain old ordinary days in the office.  But something about holiday parties gives me the green light to look and feel extra extra special.  I don't know if its the eggnog, the extra sparkle from the Christmas tree, or the jolly attitude that accompanies the season, but something about holiday parties gives me the courage to try a look that I might have been somewhat apprehensive of before.  I wouldn't think of wearing anything but a dress (I'm not saying everyone has to be like this, it's just my preference.)  I love dresses anyway, but they are a must for holiday parties.  I also usually tend to favor more whimsy for holiday parties.  (Last year at my parents' Christmas party, I debuted my giant owl necklace that I bought at a street market in London.  Rave reviews from most of the ladies, and a "what the hell" look from my husband, lol.  Guys just don't seem to get the whole whimsy thing.)  Anyways...I am getting off topic...back to my holiday party dress post...

Here are a few things I've been eyeing for my upcoming holiday parties.  (This is not to suggest that I have a full social calendar or a full wallet to actually buy these things, but a little inspiration goes a long way right?)

Victoria's Secret Split Neck Sequin Dress
I think this dress is to.die.for.  It's a little slouchy, a little vintage, and a lot sparkly.  I would pair it with black tights and a pair black booties (BCBG makes greeeat ones).  Ugh, I want this dress.

Anthropologie Longest Night Dress
Though the black is simple, the neckline is anything but.  This definitely calls for a simple and slightly messy chignon and some delicate gold studs and several stacked gold rings.

ABS Illusion Yoke Sequin Shift Dress
Love the sparkle of the dress.  A pair of black tights and black leather bomber jacket would add the perfect contrast of toughness to all this glitz.

Anthropologie Roped Posies Necklace
If you don't want to splurge on a dress or already have a simple black dress that you love, think about a statement necklace.  I live for (ok that's an overstatement, but you get it) statement jewelry.  I just throw on all black (a la People's Revolution), a statement necklace, my diamond studs, and I'm out the door!  Anthropologie has the best statement necklaces hands down!  I got a white one similar to this one about a month ago and have gotten rave reviews on it.  Plus, it makes you feel like you're wearing an art piece (and well, you kind of are!)

Anthropologie Aflush Necklace
Love the unbalanced look of this piece and the pink is a somewhat unexpected but welcome touch.  Me likie :)

Chiffon Florette Headband
Still don't want to spend the money on new bling?  Totally understandable (we're in a recession people!)  Think about making a statement with a fabulous headband or pair of jeweled hair pins.  Though I am generally not a fan of Forever 21 (nothing EVER fits me there!  I love it on other people; it just looks weird on me) they certainly have the best headbands around!  And for the price, you can afford a few or afford to buy an oversized bow or feather headband that you'll only wear a few times.  I've also seen some good ones at Target, although they're not all on the website.  I am loving loving loving headbands this season (see an earlier post on that here.)  I think its my revenge on the orthodonist who made me wear headgear.  Headbands are my updated, attractive version of headgear :)  (Don't worry, I didn't wear it to school, only at night.  I told him crooked teeth were better than social isolation at school!)

So, now that you know what's got my eye this holiday season, what about you?  What are you planning to wear to celebrate the season with friends and family?

Rock the Cocktail Rings

Cocktail rings are a staple in my wardrobe.  I'm a firm believer you don't need a party or a cocktail to rock a cocktail ring.  I think they look fabulous at the office, with jeans a white tee, or with the obvious little black dress.  In recent years, I've extended this trend to include wearing multiple rings on one hand (a la Lauren Conrad) and stacking rings when I feel brave (see Whitney Port for inspiration.)  I was a little thrown off from my ring obsession after Matt and I got engaged, because I couldn't quite figure out how my new bling fit in with my cocktail collection.  I figured there had to be "rules" about not wearing rings bigger than your engagement ring, not mixing colors, etc etc.  However, as my engagement ring and wedding band became normal shmormal (although still delightfully gorgeous), I thought my other fingers looked sad.  So I decided, screw the rules and I got back to my cocktail ring roots.  I'm back to being adventurous, wearing different shades of gold, stacking rings, and rocking my Yurman with a flea market find.  Fashion has no rules right?  Check out some of my recent favorites that will be at the top of my Christmas wish list this year and watch for upcoming flea market and vintage store finds, as they truly have the most magical cocktail rings in my opinion.  So whether you're sipping a coke or a cocktail, rocking jeans or a dress, grab one, two or three rings and get going!

Kate Spade's "Catnapper" Mouse Rings

Juicy Couture "Dazed and Coutured" Stackable Rings

David Yurman Blue Topaz ring (my first Valentines Day gift from Matt and one of my favorite possessions.)  No one does rings like David Yurman.  If I ever win the lottery, I will without a doubt buy every piece made by him.

Anthropologie "Tentacles" Ring.  40% creepy, 60% cool.  I'll take it.

25 Random Things About Me

1. I’m a die hard Britney Spears fan and have been since her first hit. Even through her head shaving, umbrella attacks, and marriage to Kevin Federline, my love for her never faltered.

2. I absolutely love my name and didn’t have to think twice about whether or not I’d drop my last name when I get married. Growing up with a strange last name, you spend a lot of time correcting people, so I became attached pretty early. Needless to say, I’ve embraced the hyphen.

3. Anthropologie is the most magical store on Earth to me. It is like a fantasy world, full of endless treasures and surprises (see photo above). I wish I lived in that store, literally.

4. I love potatoes and would be completely fine if that’s all I could eat for the rest of my life.

5. My little brother is my hero. He moved halfway around the world with my parents as a freshman in high school, not knowing a soul. In two years, he traveled to sixteen different countries, learned British lingo, and grew into a fantastic young man. He encourages me to take risks, step outside your comfort zone, and just go for things.

6. I have a running list of baby names in my Blackberry. I do not want children any time soon and am absolutely terrified of childbirth. Strange I know.

7. Shopping is my therapy. I would like to have my ashes scattered outside of Northpark Mall.

8. Tears are the manifestation of almost every emotion for me. I cry when I’m sad, happy, frustrated, angry, scared, surprised, and excited.

9. I buy candles on a weekly basis and have multiple drawers throughout the house dedicated to storing them. I light candles if I’m going to be home for more than 10 minutes. It’s an instant stress reliever.

10. The two best moments of my life were becoming a big sister and seeing Matt when the church doors opened at our wedding. I remember both moments with ridiculous detail and get choked up thinking of both.

11. In the last six months, I have become terrified of aging. I see new signs of aging every day and spend at least 10 seconds freaking over each sign.

12. I do a monthly Facebook cleanse. If I have to think twice about who you are or can’t think about a memory with you…remove friend.

13. I’ve never been a casual dater, I’ve been in 3 serious relationships my whole life. I have absolutely no idea how to casually date.

14. I’ve tanned almost by whole life, until 2 years ago when I got skin cancer. Now I drive by tanning beds and cringe thinking how many of us think only about the here and now.

15. I am a sorority girl and proud of it. People think they know what goes on behind those walls, but if they had any idea, they’d stop judging and want in on the fantastic friendships.

16. I don’t understand why young people smoke. It’s horrible for you and not attractive.

17. I take my camera everywhere. You never know when you’ll see Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears. Gotta be prepared.

18. I have the best friends in the world. They’re totally different, yet they each love me as I am and aren’t afraid to give me crap when I deserve it.

19. I can’t wait till the day Matt and I buy our first house. Years of watching HGTV has caused some serious excitement buildup.

20. I haven’t been able to pull off red lipstick since college. For some reason the classic Kappa look just doesn’t translate to my “grown up” life.

21. When I was little I fell off the diving board onto the concrete giving me a not so attractive scar. I was talking and waving trying to be the center of attention. Go figure.

22. I’ve never really been into the bar scene. Even in college, I just didn’t get it. Don’t get me wrong, drinks with friends is a hobby of mine, just not in a crowded crazy bar with creepy guys hitting on us.

23. I hate sad movies. If I want to see sad, I’ll watch the news, not pay $8 bucks for it.

24. I am a big fan of snail mail. Nothing is as comforting as getting a card in the mail, knowing someone took the time to pick it out, write a sweet message, and slap a stamp on it. I’m pretty sure I inherited this gene from my mom.

25. I keep all my old planners/calendars. They are like my diaries. I write almost everything in them and become sentimental looking back through them.

Ok, I cheated and added one more...

26. I’m complicated and completely ok with it.
