Those of you who have been reading this blog for a while are well aware of my over the top obsession with my little brother. (If you don’t know, you can read about it here, here, or here.) He is one of the most incredible, funny, and amazing people I know. And today is (I can’t believe I’m about to type this…) is his eighteenth birthday! I absolutely cannot believe it has been 18 years since I peered into that plastic incubator in the hospital and saw such a perfect and precious little dude.
Ryan, you already know this, but you are the most wonderful and incredible little brother any big sister could ever dream of. You have brought more joy into my life than I ever thought possible, and I cannot thank you enough for all of the love, laughs, and support we have shared over the years. Being your big sister is my favorite thing in the whole wide world, and I have always been so proud to be your “sissy.” So today, on your 18th birthday, I hope you know how special you are and how very much I love you.
